The Bulgarian government will not take actions related to the candidacy of the Republic of North Macedonia for membership in the European Union without a decision of the Bulgarian National Assembly. This is what Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said in response to a reporter’s question, BTA informed.

"Our position has been completely clear, but it seems that fears are being spread," he said and added that neither he nor the cabinet would do anything without the support of the parliament. Regarding France's plans to solve the problem, the Bulgarian prime minister said he had not seen any concrete proposals or documents so far.
