Public natural gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed gas prices to be dropped by more than 13% as of June 1. According to the proposal the new price will be 72.2 euros per mWh. So far, the fuel has been traded in the country at 83.1 euros per mWh. The proposed revision brings the fuel price back to the values of April, before Russia's Gazprom stopped supplies to Bulgaria, when mWh cost 73.1 euros.
Bulgargaz has submitted its proposal to the State Energy Regulator on 31 May and it has yet to be analysed by experts. The procedure then provides for an open meeting of the Energy Regulatory Commission, which will meet, after examination, to give its opinion at an open session.
