The mission of the Dutch F-35 fighter jets, which were deployed to Bulgaria for joint air policing, ends today, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Dragomir Zakov announced. According to Minister Zakov, there are various options for joint air policing and Bulgaria will continue to be supported by NATO.

The EU must make efforts to become a global security player, Minister Zakov said at an international conference on the future of European security held in Sofia. "This will happen through strengthening combat capability, as well as through partnership, investment in defense and enhanced cooperation with NATO", Minister Zakov further said.
