Second gold for Bulgaria at the European Weightlifting Championship

Bulgaria's Ivan Dimov won the title and Gabriel Marinov won a bronze medal in the 61-kg category at the European Weightlifting Championship in Tirana. This is the second gold for Bulgaria from the championship, after Angel Rusev became the champion in the 55 kg category.

Ivan Dimov finished with a total of 286 kg and with an achievement of 135 kg in the snatch event and 151 kg in the clean and jerk event. He also took the small gold medal in the first move.

Second is the German Simon Brandhuber with a total of 286 kg (134 + 152).

The bronze went to the second Bulgarian competitor Gabriel Marinov with a total of 279 kg. Marinov became the first in the clean and jerk event with 157 kg, and in the snatch event he recorded 122 kg.
