In front of the building of the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (EWRC) in the capital, citizens and activists of VMRO party expressed their dissatisfaction with the proposed increase in the price of heat and electricity, BTA reported.

The protesters demanded the resignation of all representatives of the institutions responsible for the constantly rising prices and blocked traffic on the busy Dondukov Blvd. several times.

VMRO co-chair Alexander Sidi said that as a result of the current government's inadequate policies, heating and electricity prices have risen sharply. Therefore, according to party representatives, there are several steps to overcome the energy crisis - stopping the export of cheap electricity, stopping the green deal, as well as taxing the excess profits of producers and traders of electricity and helping all end consumers.

The party's protests will continue throughout the country, including on the topic of the European integration of the Republic of North Macedonia, the party has intentions to hold protests across the country.
