Iliana Yotova calls on Premier Kiril Petkov to clarify his position on North Macedonia

"Something was left unsaid in yesterday's video address by Premier Kiril Petkov", Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova said with regard to Kiril Petkov's request to President Radev to convene the Consultative Council on National Security on North Macedonia.

 "The prime minister justified his request with the international pressure, but we have not heard other arguments - is there a change in conditions, has North Macedonia achieved new results," Iliana Yotova added and reminded that on January 10, 2022, the Consultative Council on National Security came up with a consolidated position that Bulgaria cannot commit itself to deadlines and that it will wait for concrete results. "If the government has reached guarantees and agreements, we should then be informed about them," Vice President Yotova said.
