The Bulgarian Embassy in London hosts the 70th anniversary celebrations of the British-Bulgarian Society

The 70th anniversary of the British-Bulgarian Society was marked in the Bulgarian Embassy in London. The Bulgarian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Marin Raikov and the Chairman of the British-Bulgarian Society Dr. Annie Kay opened the event.

 Father Dobromir blessed the anniversary. A Bulgarian folk take was told in English. Christopher Buxton recited his translations of poems by Peyo Yavorov and Elisaveta Bagryana and sang the song “Kara Kolyo Sedeshe”. Children from the Sunday school “Balgarche” also took part in the festive programme. The folk dance group “Veselo Horo” performed traditional horo chain dances, the correspondent of the Bulgarian National Radio in London Veselin Paunov reported.
