For the third year in a row, the Day of the Bulgarian Army (May 6) is being celebrated without the traditional military parade in Sofia. But the army demonstrated combat capabilities at the Graf Ignatievo, Novo Selo and Tsrancha military bases.

In front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in the capital, President Rumen Radev commented that the parliament's decision to provide military-technical assistance to Ukraine is a dangerous step towards Bulgaria's involvement in the war. The conflict will not be short and will grow. The wording "military-technical aid" is sufficiently stretchy and risky, Radev said.
War is not and cannot be a means of resolving any dispute, nor can there be any justification for it, says Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte. The address of the Patriarch was read by Bishop Polycarp, who consecrated the battle flags for May 6 - the Day of Courage and the Bulgarian Army.
