Russian forces are attacking along a broad front, over 480 milometers long. According to British and Ukrainian sources, there has been no significant change in Ukraine’s defense line.

Serghiy Volina, Commander of the Ukrainian troops fighting in the Azovstal plant, called for an international evacuation effort to evacuate hundreds of civilians and more than 500 wounded soldiers from the besieged port city of Mariupol. Russian forces, which are using powerful anti-bunker bombs to shell the Azovstal steel plant, have proposed a fresh surrender ultimatum to Ukrainian forces in Mariupol.

Ukraine’s military has received additional aircraft and spare parts to get damaged aircraft flying again, the Pentagon said. In a video conference, the leaders of Germany, the USA, France, Italy, Canada, Japan and the EU reaffirmed their commitment to provide further support to Ukraine without interfering directly in the war and coordinated efforts to further isolate Russia, reported Reuters. The European Union has reaffirmed its commitment to reduce its reliance on Russian energy. Ukraine will receive military and financial assistance. The Ukrainian army will receive long-range artillery”, the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced.
