Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 20 April 2022

Temperatures to remain cold for April, rain showers expected on Wednesday

On Wednesday, clouds from the west will increase. By the end of the day, it will rain all over the country, and over 800-900 m above sea level it will snow. In some places in Southern Bulgaria the precipitation will be significant. 

The minimum temperatures will be from 0 to 5 °C, in some valleys they will fall below 0 °C. Daytime temperatures will remain lower than normal for April between 8 and 13 °C, in the capital Sofia from 0 °C to 8 °C.

In the mountains the weather will be cloudy, in many places with snowfall, rain and snow in the lower parts. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be 4 °C, at 2,000 m around 0 °C.

On Thursday, the rain will stop, the clouds will break and the temperatures will rise.
