More than 87,000 Ukrainians have entered and remained in Bulgaria

185,055 Ukrainians have entered the territory of Bulgaria since the start of the war in Ukraine.

87,439 of them have remained in the country, 25,000 of them children, according to data of Bulgaria for Ukraine. 74,397 have registered for temporary protection, and 51,291 have been accommodated. 

Data indicate that Bulgaria is second in Europe in the percentage of Ukrainian refugees registered for temporary protection, compared to the total number of Ukrainians staying in the country. A significant increase in the number of people who have chosen to remain in Bulgaria has been registered in the past few days at the country’s Northeastern border checkpoints. For example, at Durankulak border check point, the number of Ukrainian arrivals has gone up by 200%. After that Kramatorsk train station attack refugees fleeing Ukraine prefer to lave by bus.
