Nearly 84,600 Ukrainian citizens are currently residing in Bulgaria. 84% of them have already received temporary protection status, data of “Bulgaria for Ukraine” portal indicate.

Bulgaria is to compensate hoteliers with EUR 20 a day for each accommodated Ukrainian refugee until April 15, regardless of whether they have a temporary protection status or not. After this date, this money will be paid only to people with temporary protection status, BNR’s reporter Tsvetelina Stoyanova informs.
