Scientific conference on Artificial intelligenceis is being held in Sofia

Will the new technologies lead to job losses and civil rights infringements

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the topic of a conference today, 14 April, in Sofia, at which academics and politicians will discuss the benefits and risks of the rapid development of AI. The conference "Bulgarian Voices for Europe: Artificial Intelligence", is organized by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency. It will be opened by MEPs Petar Vitanov and Eva Maydell, as well as by the Director General of BTA Kiril Valchev.

Participants will discuss the impact of the implementation of artificial intelligence in our lives on the economy, industry, education, health and social spheres.

Other topics to be addressed include concerns that the rapid development of artificial intelligence could lead to job losses and civil rights infringements. The readiness of Central and Eastern Europe, and Bulgaria in particular, for the fast-growing innovations in the field of artificial intelligence will be discussed.
