The crew of the Tsarevna which has been stranded in the port of Mariupol, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, is in good health and has food for another 15 days.

This was made clear after a telephone conversation between the captain Pavel Pavlov and the ship's manager Daniel Stefanov.

Pavlov dismissed claims of the Tsarevna's capture and stressed that the crew had never been threatened by either of the two warring parties.

In Pavlov's words, the ship was not under fire and the fighting that took place to gain control of the port was about 500 meters away from the ship. Chief Mate Vladimir Marinov confirmed what the captain said.
