“If it comes to withdrawing both candidacies, that would certainly ease tension,” National Assembly President Nikola Minchev commented yesterday in an interview with bTV. There Is Such a People has stated it stands by its nomination - Lyubomir Karimanski – while Democratic Bulgaria demanded a different, single candidacy. The Bulgarian Socialist Party on its part stated it would do its best to put forward a single candidate.
Whatever may happen, the coalition is not going to break apart, National Assembly President Nikola Minchev believes.
