Tomorrow, a cold atmospheric front will sweep across the country. There will be rain in Western Bulgaria from morning and it will spread to the entire territory of the country by the end of the day – in places the rainfall will be heavy with thunderstorms. The wind will turn from the Northwest nationwide, in the Eastern parts – from the North - and will usher in cold air. Temperatures will drop, and at 2 PM will reach 8-10° C. on higher ground in the Western part of the country, 20-22° C, in Southeastern Bulgaria, for Sofia – around 9° C.
Over the mountains the weather will change abruptly. In the afternoon a moderate to strong Northwesterly wind will usher in cold air. There will be rain, and as temperatures drop, it will turn to snow, most of all in the Rhodopes and the central Balkan Range. Maximum temperatures at an altitude of 1,200 m, will reach around 8° C., at 2,000 m. around 2° C., but will continue to drop quickly until the end of the day.
Over the Black Sea coast the clouds will increase. There will be rain in the afternoon with occasional thunder. By evening the rain will reach the Southern regions, and, during the night, will intensify. In the morning there will be a light wind from the West-Southwest, and during the day it will turn from the North and will pick up. Daytime temperatures will reach 14-15° C. to the North of Cape Kaliakra, 22-23° C. along the Southern portion of the coastline.
