EU continues to pay for Russian gas supplies in dollars and euros

During her visit to Sofia, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen thanked the Bulgarian people and government for their support for Ukrainians fleeing the war. It is important to mobilize all efforts to help refugees and displaced persons, she said. We want the whole world to show solidarity with Ukrainian refugees. This will take place at an online event on Saturday with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the head of the European Commission added.

Brussels has been analyzing a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin for payment for gas supplies from Russia in rubles. It is very important to make a clear analysis of this decree, until then the contracts will be executed in euros or dollars, as they state, Ursula von der Leyen said.
