The Bulgarian capital city hosts a two-day padel tournament on April 2nd and 3rd. This will be the first tournament of this kind in Bulgaria and it will be attended by 32 Bulgarian players from various racket sports. Last year, the Bulgarian Tennis Federation became a member of the World Padel Federation. A signal that this sport has been developing in this country is the process of designing a facility for padel, managed by the Bulgarian federation. This year a training for coaches in this sport, as well as a National Championship will take place.
Founded in 1969 in Mexico, the sport has gradually spread to many countries in Europe, including Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and others.
