On 1 April the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra will be performing a concert in Bulgaria Hall in Sofia.
On the programme are works by Igor Stravinsky, Marin Goleminov and Sir Edward William Elgar. In the Cello and Orchestra Concerto, the soloist is Jeongheon Nam, winner of the first International Allegra Competition in Ruse in 2021.
His award includes an invitation from Maestro Mark Kadin, Principal Conductor of the BNR Symphony Orchestra and a member of the prestigious competition jury.
Guest Conductor will be Delyana Lazarova. She is a graduate of the Dobrin Petkov National School of Music and Dance with a degree in violin performance. Lazarova continued her studies in the United States under the tutelage of renowned violin pedagogue Kevork Mardirossian.
In the US she also studied conducting. She had the chance to learn under great conductors such as Bernard Haitink and Paavo Järvi. She lived in Zurich for a while, where she continued her studies in the class of Maestro Johannes Schlaefli.
Currently, the Bulgarian conductor also works as an assistant to Cristian Măcelaru in the National Orchestra of France.
