Democratic Bulgaria, which is part of the ruling coalition in the country, is beginning consultations on reaching agreement for rendering Ukraine military technical assistance, depending on what its needs and capabilities are, Democratic Bulgaria co-chairman Atanas Atanasov announced in a declaration he read out in parliament.

“Support for the freedom and independence of Ukraine is defence of Europe’s freedom, solidarity and security. Helping a country under attack is not involvement in the war, it is support for the restoration of peace,” Atanas Atanasov said.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party, which is also part of the ruling coalition, is categorically opposed to sending military aid to Ukraine.
