1,442 new coronavirus cases registered in Bulgaria

1,442 coronavirus cases have been registered for a day after 13,155 tests, official data show. 11% of the tests returned positive result as 69% of the newly infected are non-vaccinated citizens.

The highest number of new cases was registered in Sofia - 377, followed by Plovdiv - 118, and Varna - 104. There are 1,963 patients in hospital as 218 of them are in intensive care. 78% of 294 newly admitted hospital patients are non vaccinated citizens. 43 people died in the past day as 93% of them were not immunized. The number of recoveries reached 2,639.

There are 188,111 active cases in this country. Yesterday, 1,398 vaccine doses were administered. 2,049,587 people have already completed immunization. 719,339 have had a booster dose.
