In a joint declaration, six former Bulgarian ministers of defense: Boyko Noev, Nikolay Svinarov, Anyu Angelov, Todor Tagarev, Velizar Shalamanov and Nikolay Nenchev have called for urgent Bulgarian help to be sent in order to defend Ukraine.

According to the six former ministers, Bulgaria continued to stand out among its EU and NATO allies with indecisive and ambiguous policy regarding the provision of military and technical support to Ukraine and this has marred the image of this country.

The 6 former ministers have called on the National Assembly to give green light to the government to join the common European efforts and help with funds from the Bulgarian army.
