MPs from “Democratic Bulgaria” have submitted a request for hearing of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Bulgaria’s Parliament. The hearing aims to shed light on the circumstances regarding the military conflict and the course of the peace talks. It should help each MP decide what type of aid Bulgaria should send to Ukraine.

MP Vladislav Panev, who is among the petitioners, said that military aid was also an option, if requested. The Chairperson of the National Assembly Committee on Defense Milen Mateev also expects that the MPs will discuss possible military aid to Ukraine. Only the smallest opposition party “Vazrazhdane” voted against a hearing of President Zelenskyy.
