Number of new daily Covid infections significantly exceeds number of recoveries

Bulgaria has reported 1,943 new daily infections with Covid-19 in the past day as 70 percent of the newly infected citizens have not been vaccinated. 13% of the 14,820 tests performed returned a positive result, data from the National Coronavirus Information Portal shows.

The number of actively registered patients increased by 618 to 191,282. The number of new hospital admissions is 246 patients. 79% of them are not immunized. The number of hospitalized patients has increased by 39 to 2,055 as 236 patients are in intensive care.
20 people died during the day with an established Covid-19. 
1,797 vaccine jabs were administered in Bulgaria on Tuesday. There are 2,048,030 people with a completed immunization cycle. 713,476 persons have received a booster dose.
