Weather forecast for Saturday, 19 March: a cold weekend

On Saturday, minimum temperatures will range from minus 8° to minus 3° C., for Sofia around minus 7° C. During the day the clouds will disperse but will increase again in the afternoon. There will be occasional light snow, mostly along the Black Sea coast and in the mountains of Southwestern Bulgaria. There will be a moderate, to strong in the Easternmost parts, Northeasterly wind. Temperatures will continue low, reaching a maximum of 2° C. to 7° C., for Sofia around 3° C.

Over the mountains there will be considerable clouds. There will be snow showers in places, mostly over the region of Mounts Rila and the Rhodopes. There will be a strong Northeasterly wind. Daytime temperatures at an altitude of 1,200 m. will reach minus 5° C., at 2,000 m. minus 11° C.

On Sunday the weather will continue unchanged.
