Viktoriya Tomova with first victory in Masters Tournament match

Bulgaria's tennis player Viktoriya Tomova achieved her first victory in a tennis tournament of the Masters series. In the first round of qualifications in Indian Wells, Tomova won 6:2, 6:1 against Elizabeth Mandlik from the U.S.

The 20-year-old Mandlik is 313rd in the chart of the Women's Tennis Association. She is daughter of former Czech tennis player Hana Mandlikova, who won four Grand Slam titles back in the 1980s and reached third place in the world.

For a place in the main draw, the Bulgarian, who is 111th in the world rankings, will play against Australian Astra Sharma, who is 96th in the world.
