A two-year cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health of Bulgaria and the WHO Regional Office for Europe will regulate the activities of this country and the health organization in cases of health emergencies. According to the document signed today by the Minister of Health Prof. Asena Serbezova and the WHO Regional Director for Europe Dr. Hans Kluge in Copenhagen, the joint activity focuses on universal health coverage and better protection of people in cases of emergency, etc.
During the meeting, the Bulgarian Minister of Health and Dr. Kluge discussed the global challenges facing health systems, migrant crises and the Covid-19 pandemic. On behalf of the regional health organization, Prof. Dr. Kluge presented the Minister with an award for Bulgarian medical staff in recognition of their dedication during the pandemic.
