A humanitarian flight for transporting Russian citizens to Moscow is planned from the Bulgarian capital Sofia for March 3. Bulgaria granted the humanitarian exemption after informing the EU and obtaining an operational permit under the EU regulation. The plane is to arrive empty, no tickets are sold for the flight and passengers will not leave Russia after arriving at Sheremetyevo Airport

For another part of the Russian tourists who are in Bulgaria, an option for returning home through Istanbul is being sought.

The stagnation of the huge Russian military convoy against Kyiv continues. According to the Pentagon, the reason is the lack of fuel, food supplies and the Ukrainian resistance. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby stressed that there was no evidence of a planned Belarusian attack on Ukraine in support of the Russian aggression. Kharkiv continues to resist the Russian siege and bombing. An observer from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's Ukraine monitoring mission was also killed in the city. The unsuccessful attack of the Russian army over the Azov port of Mariupol continues for more than 14 hours.

The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling for Russia to withdraw from Ukraine "immediately". Moscow has received support from only four other countries: Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea and Syria. Its allies, China and Cuba, abstained.
