Call-up notices are routine, Bulgarian Ministry of Defence said in response to the concerns of Bulgarian men who had received calls to report to their military districts. It added that call-ups have no connection to the military conflict in Ukraine.
The Central Office of Military Districts and its structures in Bulgaria carry out annual updates of the database of army reserve men who are on military record.
