Bulgaria reports decreasing number of new Covid infections, all students return to class

Bulgaria has registered 724 new cases of coronavirus in the country for the last 24 hours. 73% of the newly infected persons have not been vaccinated. 11% of the 6,559 tests performed returned a positive result, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal.

The number of actively registered patients decreased by 1,758 to 218,694. 138 infected patients were admitted to hospitals in the past day. 86 percent of them have not been vaccinated. There are currently 4,268 patients in hospital as 503 of them are in intensive care units.
24 people with an established Covid-19 infections died during the past day. 22 of them were not vaccinated. 

554 vaccine jabs were administered on Sunday.

As of February 28, all students in Bulgaria return to in-person training, and coronavirus testing of the students continues once a week.
