Ukraine conflict

Yesterday, Bulgaria launched a Unified Information Portal to help Refugees fleeing Ukraine. The portal is the first of its kind in the European Union, the press service of Bulgaria’s Council of Ministers notes.

Full information in Bulgarian and English on the border control requirements for entry into the Republic of Bulgaria is available at: https://gov.bg/bg/ukraine. Upon entering Bulgaria, Bulgarian citizens must present a Bulgarian identity document - identity card or passport. Bulgarian citizens will be allowed to pass the border checkpoint even with expired personal documents.

A special section provides information on how Ukrainian citizens can receive international protection status upon arrival. Citizens can use the platform to submit help and evacuation reports.
