Bulgaria is ready to provide timely support for the transportation and accommodation in Bulgaria of our compatriots who are being evacuated from Ukraine, regardless of whether they have Bulgarian citizenship. This was stated by President Rumen Radev in a telephone conversation with Anton Kisse, Member of the Verkhovna Rada and Chairman of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine

Anton Kisse assured that at this stage there was no danger for Bulgarians in Ukraine and that organization was being created to support those wishing to leave the country.
Meanwhile, information is coming in about heavy fighting in a number of regions of Ukraine. The mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko imposed a curfew and announced residents of the capital should use four subway stations for bomb shelters.

President Volodymyr Zelensky compared the Russian attack on Ukraine to Nazi Germany's military campaign during World War II.
