Two buses with evacuated Bulgarian citizens will depart today at 1 pm and 2 pm from the Bulgarian consulate in Odessa, Bulgarian Consul Svetoslav Ivanov told bTV.

"I have an assurance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that, if necessary, they will send us transport for Saturday, as well," he added. According to him, every Bulgarian national who seeks our foreign ministry will be connected with the diplomats on the spot to organize his or her evacuation. The consul also said that there was a large crowd of people at the border checkpoints, but expressed hope that a green corridor would be provided.

Bulgarian citizens who are in Ukraine and want to be evacuated can contact the Situation Centre Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via email: crisis@mfa.bg
