Bulgaria’s individual rhythmic gymnast Boryana Kaleyn was named Europe’s best gymnast of 2021. The nominees were athletes from four categories- Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampoline Gymnastics.
Boryana Kaleyn earned 97,747 votes in competition with Olympic Champion Linoy Ashram (Israel), Olympic silver medalist Dina Averina (Russia), Olympic bronze medalist Alina Harnasko (Belarus) and Sofia Raffaeli (Italy) who won a bronze medal in the hoop finals during her debut at the 2021 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. The award ceremony will take place on August 15 in Munich.
