Kiril Petkov’s cabinet has 35% approval rating survey

Bulgaria’s coalition government headed by Premier Kiril Petkov begins its term with an approval rating of 35%, a survey by Alpha Research, conducted between February 6 and 14, show. The government has a 23% disapproval rating. Asked whether the cabinet was composed by competent people and professionals, 39% of the respondents said yes and 41% said no.

President Rumen Radev has begun his second term with an approval rating of 51%. He has the approval of 78% of the supporters of “We Continue the Change”, 91% of the supporters of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and 67% of the supporters of “There is Such a People”.

Meanwhile, 24.4% of the respondents support “We Continue the Change”, 18.1% support GERB party, 9.8% support BSP. Support for There is Such a People party continues to decrease-6.6%. Democratic Bulgaria is supported by 6.4% of the respondents.

58% of Bulgarians support the country’s membership in the EU and 13% of the polled are of the opposite opinion. 40% of the respondents favor Bulgaria’s membership in NATO and 34% are of the opposite opinion.
