For the first time graduation exams in rare languages

For the first time in 2022 students graduating secondary school will be able to sit for matriculation exams in a rare language if they have studied it as a vocational subject. Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Hebrew and other languages will now be added to English, German and the other languages in which there are matriculation exams, the Ministry of Education has announced. 

The deadline for submitting applications to sit for the exams is 18 February. Students who plan to sit for matriculation exams in rare languages must indicate their Common European Framework of Reference for Languages level.
