"A source from the ruling coalition told me that they were ready to nominate Professor Ilian Mihov for the position of Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank", Deputy Chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms Yordan Tsonev said for bTV. MP Tsonev said he was worried about such a nomination, because when this person was nominated for a Deputy Premier in 2009, he delivered an opinion that the Currency Board in Bulgaria should be changed.

"The government has not discussed such a topic", the Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on Budget and Finance Lyubomir Karimansky clarified for bTV. I don't know Ilian Mihov in person, but I believe that he is also a good candidate. Many people are suitable for this position. The coalition partners need to discuss the topic, Lyubomir Karimansky added.
