Bulgarian Minister of Innovation and Growth Daniel Lorer and Minister of Finance of the Republic of North Macedonia Fatmir Besimi have announced a new mechanism for transparency of investments between Bulgaria and North Macedonia. This happened after the meeting of the working group on economy, trade and innovation. The mechanism will aim at providing the ability to every investor from Bulgaria or North Macedonia to signal over discrimination or unequal treatment by the central authorities.

"We do not know if this is really happening, but we want to have transparency, so that there are no speculations," Minister Lorer said. He added that there would be support for rural areas under the mechanism. Next month new working groups will start work to improve the environment for investments, agriculture, economic development on both sides of the border.
