Bulgaria's strategy in the crisis over Ukraine, adopted at today's cabinet meeting, will be aimed entirely at the Bulgarian army and this country will make every effort to resolve conflicts peacefully. This was announced by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov after the meeting.

Bulgarian military will take command of the battalion that the country is preparing to join NATO's efforts over tense relations with Russia over Ukraine, reporter Marta Mladenova informed. The Prime Minister described the decision as a "new approach".

"The fact that the Bulgarian battalion has deficits and we would invite expertise for the strengthening of this battalion does not cancel the fact that this battalion will be under the command of Bulgarian servicemen. From now on Bulgaria should not be only a consumer of security. It must be a constructive partner of NATO", PM Kiril Petkov added.
