Eleven polar explorers return from Antarctica

The first group consisting of eleven polar explorers from the 30th Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition returned to Bulgaria. "The weather was very bad and the polar researchers arrived at the Bulgarian Antarctic Base 20 days behind schedule. Moreover, they had to wait for a ship at the Uruguayan Antarctic Base located on the nearby island King George. However, they laid the foundations of a metal frame laboratory" the head of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute Professor Hristo Pimpirev explained. 

Currently, there are 14 polar explorers in the Bulgarian Antarctic Base "St. Kliment Ohridski ”on Livingston Island. They are implementing research projects in the field of Earth sciences, biology and medicine and are expected to return to Bulgaria in the middle of March.
