On February 4, Bulgaria and North Macedonia will jointly celebrate the 150th anniversary of Gotse Delchev's birth. Members of the Historical Commission from the Bulgarian side will not be replaced. The rights of Bulgarians in North Macedonia are a huge priority. We signed 3 memoranda in key areas. This was reported to the parliament by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov on the outcome of his meetings with Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski.

"Achieving economic connectivity is a good thing, but it does not reflect the real focus of the problems with North Macedonia," MP Daniel Mitov from GERB warned.
GERB wants to achieve real guarantees for the observance of the rights of Bulgarians with Macedonian citizenship and to open the files of the former Yugoslav services on the repression of Bulgarians in Yugoslav Macedonia.
