More than 11,000 new Covid infections registered for a day

There were 11,049 new coronavirus cases registered in the country in the past day. 78% or 8,639 of them were among the non-vaccinated. The newly-infected were 8,202 more in comparison to a day earlier. More than 24% of the 45,885 tests returned positive result, according to the portal coronavirus.bg.

The number of active patients rose by 5,070 to 207,491. There were 949 new hospital admissions, 85 percent of them among the non-vaccinated. 5,327 patients are in hospital as 517 are in intensive care.

132 people with Covid passed away yesterday. 120 of them were non-vaccinated. The number of recoveries reached 5,847.

The number of vaccines administered on Monday reached 6,890. There are nearly 2 million people with a completed immunization cycle. 573,669 people have already received a third vaccine dose.
