Health authorities in Bulgaria reduce Covid-19 quarantine

By order of Minister of Health Prof. Asena Serbezova, as of today, 11 January, mandatory isolation for persons with confirmed Covid-19 is reduced from 14 to 10 days as of the date of the positive laboratory test.

Quarantine for the close contacts of the individual with a verified coronavirus infection is reduced from 10 to 7 days as of the date of their last contact with the confirmed case.

The Regional Health Inspectorate may drop quarantine for a contact person who has a booster dose of vaccine against Covid-19 and presents a negative Covid-19 test. The mandatory 14-day isolation after discharge from hospital is also lifted.
