Bulgaria will drastically increase sanctions for polluting industries and enhance control via technical equipment and experts, this country’s Deputy Premier for Climate Policies and Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov said in the town of Ruse.

These sanctions aim to prevent the occurrence of pollution, Minister Sandov said and specified that the sanctions amount to a very small percentage of the enterprises’ daily turnover. The state is to buy the old car tires at a price that will discourage people to burn them, in order to earn money from scrap metal, Borislav Sandov went on to say.
