“The cabinet must provide an additional budget resource because of the high electricity prices so as to alleviate the burden on businesses,” Prime Minister Kiril Petkov stated during today’s cabinet meeting. The government is also expected to discuss a programme for addressing the new wave of coronavirus, which, according to Kiril Petkov, will make itself felt in two-three weeks’ time.

“Omicron is knocking at the door and we need to be ready with a maximum vaccination programme and an operative plan for reducing the risk to the hospital and health system,” PM Petkov said.
