Tourists from Britain have returned to the winter resorts of Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo after a year and 9 months of absence, the website travelnews.bg reports.

After two summer seasons and one winter season with no tourists from Great Britain in Bulgaria, several planes with British citizens have already landed in the country as groups of tourists arrive to celebrate the New Year in Bulgaria. There are planned charter flights until mid-March 2022, it was reported.

Hoteliers and tour operators expect an influx of guests from the United Kingdom to Bulgarian winter resorts due to the restrictions imposed by France, Italy and Austria.

Bansko remains the most popular Bulgarian resort among the British.
