5.7% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

1,278 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 22,602 cases performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 80.52% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 5.6% of the tests have returned positive result. 

4,090 people are being treated in hospital, as 464 of them are in intensive care units. 266 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 87.22% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. 49 people with established coronavirus infection have died and 1,109 have been reported cured in the past 24 hours.

The highest number of new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Sofia-392, followed by Varna-94, Plovdiv-93 and Burgas-70.

3,334 vaccines were administered on Monday. 1,899,249 people have completed their vaccination cycle. 253,545 have had a booster shot.
