Inflation in Bulgaria sets 10-year record

In November 2021 the rise of prices of goods and services in this country in comparison to October was 1.4%. On an annual basis, the rise reaches 7.3 percent, the National Statistical Institute reported. This is a record for the past 10 years.

In the past 12 months, due to the rise in fuel prices, the prices of transport services jumped 22%. They are followed by the price of electricity, water and heating costs for households - by 10%. The price of food, which has the largest share in the consumer basket of Bulgarians, rose by 7.2% year on year.

In November, the average inflation in the EU was 1.1% and the annual inflation reached 6.3%, it was reported.
