EU Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi has requested additional information on the two delegated prosecutors from Bulgaria, whose appointment is yet unclear. We follow this procedure when the information provided about candidates in their CVs or cover letters is not very clear or not complete enough, Kövesi said and added she was expecting a decision on their appointment within a few days.

The Bulgarian candidates are Anita Dzhamalova and Ivaylo Iliev. The two are deputy chairmen of the district prosecutor's offices in Pernik and Kyustendil. In February, Bulgaria submitted 10 applications, but the European Prosecutor's Office approved only 4. In addition, Sofia submitted 6 more candidatures, 4 of which were accepted in October.
