Radev and Zaev discuss rights of people in North Macedonia who identify as Bulgarian

The summit dialogue is key to building trust and overcoming the controversial issues in the relations between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. This is the position on which Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and Zoran Zaev agreed during a telephone conversation at the initiative of the PM of North Macedonia. 

The two discussed different aspects of bilateral relations, the effective observance of the rights of the people in North Macedonia who openly state their Bulgarian identity, as well as North Macedonia’s European prospects, the presidential press service has announced.
